Our agency was founded in 1983 by Maynard Sonnenberg. We have grown into the trusted insurance partner for more than 2,300 clients in Colorado and Nebraska through exceptional customer service and our in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry.

Tim has more 35 years experience in the crop insurance industry and is the President of Sonnenberg Agency. His expertise in on crop policy provisions. He has been awarded both locally and nationally for his work in crop insurance. Over the years, Tim has helped design several crop insurance products that are still being sold & marketed to this day.
Jared has nearly 25 years experience in the crop insurance industry and is the Personnel Director and Secretary of Sonnenberg Agency. In addition to his agency work, Jared is active in the community helping the Sterling Fire & Police Departments and the Logan County Sheriff's Office with their chaplaincy needs and is an ordained minister serving the LeRoy Community Church as Lead Pastor. Jared is also a Member of the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business Advisory Board.
Darin has more than 10 years in the crop insurance industry and is the Marketing & Advertising Director and Treasurer of Sonnenberg Agency. Prior to joining our team, Darin was a Fire Engineer/EMT with the Sterling Fire Department and is proud veteran having served in the United States Naval Reserve.
Travis has more than 5 years experience in the insurance industry and is the Personal Lines Director of Sonnenberg Agency. He has specialty designations in the farm/ranch and commercial lines of insurance. Prior to joining our team, Travis was also with the Sterling Fire Department as Lieutenant/EMT. Travis was a key member of the Farmers Alliance Agents Council.
Sam has more than 35 years experience in the retail and service industry, and more specifically, more than 25 years in the crop insurance industry. He too has been awarded locally and nationally for his work in crop insurance. Sam is a long-tenured Board Member of the Crop Insurance Professionals Association (CIPA) and was an active member of the Logan County Economic Development Board for many years.
Coree started in the insurance industry in 1996 with State Farm Insurance. After a few years, Coree stepped away from the insurance industry while she owned and operated her own business in Sterling. Since joining the Sonnenberg Agency team, Coree has helped hundreds of clients meet their personal lines insurance needs.
Laurie has more than 35 years in the insurance industry. Previously working as an adjuster and then as an agency owner. Laurie's expertise is in claims. Laurie manages the satellite office in Strasburg. Renee previously worked for Laurie when Laurie owned her own agency.
Renee has been in the insurance industry since 1997. Renee specializes in commercial and farm/ranch insurance. Renee lives in Grand Junction, CO and manages our new satellite office while continuing to help Laurie meet the needs of our clients in the Strasburg/Bennett/Byers area.
Linda joined the Sonnenberg Agency team in 2016. She is our Secretary/Administrative Assistant. Prior to joining our team, she worked for McDonald's Corporate for more than 20 years. She is active in the community and served for many years on the Logan County Republican Central Committee and was awarded the ELKS "Distinguished Citizenship Award" in 2019-2020.
